In Pu'er Sun River National Park, there are abundant varieties of Orchidaceae plants, including 70 genera and 240 species in total, such as Chinese cymbidium, hoya, eria acervata, ascocentrum ampullaceum, vandopsis gigantea and dendrobium, which account for 40.9% of the total genera and 18.3% of the total species of Chinese orchidaceae. Among them, dendrobium among the three treasures of Pu'er includes 36 species such as dendrobium thyrsiflorum, dendrobium chrysotoxum, dendrobium gratiosissimum and dendrobium officinale. In addition, there are 163 families, 530 genera and 892 species of medicinal plants such as pseudo-ginseng, aquilaria sinensis, amomum villosum, oroxylum indicum, tuckahoe and polygonum multiflorum. Because of its rich biological diversity, Pu'er Sun River National Park is praised as "a kingdom of orchids and herbs."
