Hani Kindling Altar is the place where the Hani people hold the fire kindling ceremony. Hani people regard themselves as a nation of fire, so on summer solstice every year, they gather at the Kindling Altar to hold the grand "fire kindling ceremony".
The process of taking kindling from heaven: "Mopi" leads the young men and women sent by the branches of Hani people to pray to the God of Sun; then, the most beautiful Hani girl lights a torch; finally, the "kindling" is passed to the Sun Square in the town.
