Through 2h discussion, a consensus has been reached that the resources inside the national park usually are scenes, ecosystems and biodiversity resources of national or international significance. These natural resources are formed by hundreds and thousands of vicissitudes, and are valuable assets of China, which can’t be recovered once damaged. Therefore, the construction of the forest park should always place the ecological protection in the first place, and only when the natural resources are effectively protected, can it be adequately developed and utilized so as to stimulate the coordinated development of ecological forestry and livelihood forestry. The construction of Chinese forest parks has not only protected the natural resources and biodiversity effectively, stimulated the coordinated development of ecological forestry and livelihood forestry, but also made a great contribution to the global response to climate change.
The scene of “8+1 Conversation”
At the end of the conversation, Pu’er Sunriver National Forest Park and American Universal Parks Association had reached a strategic cooperation relationship, and signed the Strategic Cooperation Frame Agreement. In future, both parties will increase the communication on forest tourism development between China and America, share advance development experience, stimulate the benign development of international forest tourism and work together for the protection and utilization of forests.

The “8+1 Conversation” had published the <Pu’er Statement>. It’s believed in the statement that, there are abundant valuable forest scene resources which possess rare, classical and outstanding general values among the whole country in side the national forest park, these resources are non-renewable natural heritages that are common wealth of mankind and the behalf of the country’s image and the important material basis for the continuous development of the economical society, thus protecting these valuable resources and ensuring future generations have the same opportunity to admire and utilize such resources is the sacred mission the time has given to our generation.

The host place of this event, Pu’er Sunriver National Forest Park, is 37km from Pu’er main city. The whole forest park is about 23km from east to west, and about 9km from south to north, with a area of 216km2. It’s located in the transitional zone of tropical zone and subtropical zone, with a forest cover rate of 94.5%, and it has the largest and most complete south subtropical monsoon evergreen broadleaved forest in China. In Sunriver, there’re various animals living from torrent to still water, from deep soil to the surface, from grass to shrubwood, from understory to crown canopy. It’s not only ditches and rivers crossing, forest flourishing, but also black bears and buffaloes, green peafowls, macaques and other protecting animals living here, presenting the wild beauty of subtropical rain forest.
